Forever isn't long to wait for love and heartache
when you're nothing but a broken shell of a mis-used shadow.
Time is no longer against me, nor is he pushing me forwards into destiny,
he is merely a hidden entity peering over my shoulder in the dark.
The shadows cast forth upon my very days,
and the willows weep in endless dancing at his cries.
Living is a long and thundering river,
drawn around in endless sighing, crying pain.
Night becomes my enemy, when sleep evades
and thoughts of love long past flood my mind
until I am drowning in a vast sea of memories.
I cling to those memories like a life raft.
Come. Help, Heal and Love.
Time has forgotten and my shadow is nearly gone.
My raft is leaking memories into the ocean of life, yet still I hope.
